1. Who you're contracting with
When you complete a checkout for QREL Nodes:
- Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle") is the merchant of record. Paddle takes your payment, issues the invoice, handles VAT/sales-tax remittance in your jurisdiction, and is the party named on your card or bank statement. Paddle's buyer terms are at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.
- Quinn Joseph, sole trader, registered in St Kitts and Nevis ("QREL", "we", "us") is the developer and licensor of the QREL Nodes software. The software itself is licensed to you under our End User Licence Agreement.
The commercial contract for the payment is between you and Paddle. The software licence is between you and QREL.
2. What you receive
For each Solo or Studio purchase, you receive:
- A unique licence key, delivered by email at checkout.
- Access to the QREL Nodes Windows installer (VST3) for the version current at the time of purchase.
- All free 1.x updates to the same Windows VST3 product.
- The right to activate the plugin on up to two computers (Solo) or five computers (Studio) at a time, with self-service deactivation to move seats.
3. What you do not receive
- Source code. QREL Nodes ships as a compiled VST3 plugin only.
- Paid major-version upgrades (e.g. v2.0). These will be offered separately, with upgrade pricing where applicable.
- A macOS build at v1. macOS is on the v1.1 roadmap; purchasing v1 does not entitle you to a Mac build unless and until v1.1 ships.
- AAX, AU, or CLAP plugin formats. v1 is VST3 only.
4. Price and currency
Listed prices are in US Dollars (USD) and exclude any sales tax or VAT that Paddle is required to add for your jurisdiction. Paddle determines and applies the correct tax at checkout based on your billing address. The total you pay is shown on the Paddle checkout page before you confirm the order.
5. Delivery
Licence keys and installer download links are delivered electronically, immediately on payment confirmation, to the email address you provide at checkout. If you do not receive the email within 30 minutes, check your spam folder, then log in at paddle.com/account → My Account → Purchases to retrieve the order receipt. If neither works, email [email protected] from the address used at checkout.
6. Refunds and cancellation
Our 14-day money-back guarantee is documented at /legal/refund.html. That policy is the operative document for refund requests. In summary: 14 calendar days from purchase, no questions, full refund to your original payment method via Paddle.
7. Statutory rights
Nothing in these terms removes or restricts the statutory consumer rights you have under your local jurisdiction, including (where applicable) the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, and equivalent legislation. EU and UK consumers who buy digital content and start downloading before the end of the standard 14-day withdrawal period waive that statutory withdrawal right under the relevant regulations — but our voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee in section 6 applies regardless.
8. Licence transfer and resale
Your licence is personal to the purchaser identified on the Paddle order. Transferring a licence to another individual is not permitted by default. If you have a legitimate business reason (sale of a studio, asset transfer) email us and we'll evaluate case by case.
9. Subscription, auto-renewal, recurring charges
None. QREL Nodes is a one-time purchase. We do not store payment details, we do not auto-renew, and you will not be billed again unless you initiate a new purchase yourself.
10. Limitation of liability
The full limitation-of-liability language is in section 7 of the EULA. In commercial terms: QREL is provided "as is" except where local consumer law requires otherwise; we don't accept liability for indirect or consequential losses (lost mixes, lost sessions, lost revenue); and our total liability to you in any case is capped at the amount you paid for the licence.
11. Governing law
These terms of sale are governed by the law of Saint Kitts and Nevis, without prejudice to your statutory consumer rights in your country of residence. Disputes that cannot be resolved by direct contact with [email protected] may be referred to the consumer-protection authority in your jurisdiction; the merchant-of-record relationship with Paddle means most payment disputes are best raised with Paddle in the first instance.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the new version applies only to purchases made after its effective date. Your purchase is governed by the version of the terms in force at the time of the order — a copy of which is implicitly preserved in the Paddle receipt and in the GitHub history of this page.
13. Contact
- Sales: [email protected]
- Support and refunds: [email protected]
- Payment disputes and invoice questions (Paddle): paddle.net → "Help with my order"
This page is a plain-language summary of the commercial terms of sale. It is intended to be a faithful description of how the QREL Nodes purchase works, but it is not a substitute for qualified legal advice. We recommend reviewing the linked EULA and refund policy as well. The legal text is pending review by a qualified solicitor; it will be updated to remove this notice when that review is complete.
